the kingdom rising

the kingdom rising

How long can we continue as a nation without the reverential fear of God?

In the profane in-your-face excesses of Pride parades and semi-nude adult frolicking among children, in the utter lawlessness of our governmental institutions, there is no fear of God.   This has happened on our watch. As guardians of the fire, we opted to pursue winsomeness with men rather than to fear God. And we are being shown where our misplaced sympathy leads.

Is it over for us as a nation? Are we, like Rome before us, falling into the destructive abyss of our own wanton disregard of Holy God? Or is a distinction being made. Is something else rising?

God has not abandoned His creation or His promise of a kingdom. Since 2020 He has been pulling back the curtain to let us see what has been going on behind the scenes. For the first time in history, we are being shown on a global scale how our elite are at war against the common man. When he came to us the first time, Jesus identified with the common man. He still does. Paul’s words flame up, reminding us:

Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were powerful; not many were of noble birth.  But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong.  He chose the lowly and despised things of the world, and the things that are not, to nullify the things that are…  I Corinthians 1:26-29

God is bringing us to the proving ground, where we will prove whether we are wheat or tares.[1] The tares have been allowed to grow up among the wheat in the field of the world. Sown by the enemy, they are fully maturing, showing what they are. A distinction is being made between the wheat and the tares. It is our opportunity to weigh what we have welcomed into our souls. Many will realize the alien seed sowed in them and deeply repent, proving themselves to be sons of God after all. Others will double down unrepentant, also proving who they belong to.

Nations will fall but The Kingdom is rising. God is on His throne.  He is as mighty as He is humble; He is as compassionate as He is severe; He is as just as He is Holy. My heart beats with anticipation to see how He will intervene and how He will engage us to walk in what He is working out.

[1]  Matthew 13: 24-29;  38-43

The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field. But while everyone was asleep, his enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat, and slipped away. When the wheat sprouted and bore grain, then the weeds also appeared.

The owner’s servants came to him and said, ‘Sir, didn’t you sow good seed in your field? Where then did the weeds come from?’

‘An enemy did this,’ he replied.

So the servants asked him, ‘Do you want us to go and pull them up?’

‘No,’ he said, ‘if you pull the weeds now, you might uproot the wheat with them. Let both grow together until the harvest. At that time I will tell the harvesters: First collect the weeds and tie them in bundles to be burned; then gather the wheat into my barn.’  …
